Rock’n Seven Tack Company was founded based on the idea that horsemen and women can have a truly custom and unique piece of gear that is no only beautiful but remarkably functional. We believe that the way a piece of tack is built is directly related to how well it performs and how long it will last. We take pride in building gear that can be passed on to the next generation of riders.
We have spent an exorbitant amount of time studying gear from all over the world, gaining knowledge and practicality. Whit spends several weeks a year apprenticing and corresponding with other braiders and gear makers to further develop his skills. Whit believes that whether you are a sculptor, painter or rawhide braider, the finished result is only as pure as the passion of the artist who made it.
The words “custom” and “handmade” are often misused in the world we live in today. Precision and uniformity have often taken a back seat to production in factory settings where the numbers have become more important then the quality.
We offer exclusive custom tack. This means that every custom piece is made when you order it, especially for you. We build quality gear, working off of 1/64th inch accuracy. Whit’s pieces are intricately braided art as well as practical, useable equipment. This February, Whit will have several pieces of gear on display at the 2009 Elko Poetry Gathering, including this bridle which will be shown with a Mike Valalaro bit. There will also be a full rawhide hackamore rig on display at the convention center.
